A Beautiful Day for Golf

October 15, 2012 by Stuart Pompel

On Friday, October 12th, 80 people attended Pacific Crest’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the Tournament fund Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, which transforms the lives of its 140 youth performers each year.

After a day of truly weird Southern California weather, that included flash floods and hail storms, Friday turned out to be beautiful day for golf at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club in Chino Hills, California. Golfers included friends of Pacific Crest as well as the numerous sponsors that participated this year.

Phil Mortensen chaired the event. “I am amazed and appreciative of the support Pacific Crest received from its sponsors, board members, volunteers, and the community. Our charity golf event was a huge success because of this unique collaborative effort!”

One of the golfers is Diamond Bar High School’s Athletic Director Kurt Davies. “Just as with everything else that Pacific Crest does, this tournament was first class all the way.  We at Diamond Bar really appreciate the relationship we have with Pacific Crest and look forward to many more years and many more great events!”

Steve Fleet (Fleet Resource), Mark Gunderson (PC Program Coord), Don Gunderson (PC Board), and Richard Frutschy (Three Bear Ent.)
