For the last 18 years Eugene Fabiero has enjoyed performing throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. As a freelance tubist and music educator, Mr. Fabiero has had the pleasure of entertaining a wide variety of audiences in solo recitals, orchestral concerts, and master classes, always promoting and showcasing the myriad facets of the tuba. Mr. Fabiero was the tubist for the Suedwest Deutsche Philharmonie (Konstanz Philharmonic, Germany 2000-01), the Inter-Regional Orchestra of Europe (IRO), the Tuebingen Sinfonietta (Tuebingen, Germany 1999-2001), the DUSAI brass quintet, the Tony Award winning Broadway hit BLAST National Touring Cast and Disney’s California Adventure Cast, Gwen Stefani Solo Tour 2005, as well as other regional orchestras and brass ensembles. Mr. Fabiero has made national television appearances in Japan as a part of the Sunset Live Jazz Festival 2004 (Huis Ten Bosch Jazz Sextet), The Landesgartenschau 2000 (Singen, Germany), and in the U.S. on Saturday Night Live, The David Letterman Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, and MTV – TRL. Mr. Fabiero was also the inaugural conductor for the Pacific Brass Society based in Long Beach, California.
Mr. Fabiero received his formal education at the California State University of Fullerton for his undergraduate studies in Music Education, as well as the Staatliche Hochschule Fuer Musik, Trossingen (State Conservatory of Music, Germany) for graduate studies in Orchestral Performance. He has had the pleasure of studying with several of the world’s prominent musicians such as Jeffrey Funderburk, Doug Tornquist, Norman Pearson, Francis Orvall, and Abbie Conant. Mr. Fabiero is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs, California.
